32.5 g (0.25 mol) of sodium-3-hydroxyacrylonitrile (content 70%) is added to a mixture of 17.8 g (0.25 mol) of pyrrolidine, 12.3 g (0.125 mol) of sulfuric acid and 200 ml of ethanol, and the mixture is stirred at 50° C. for 7 h. After working up as in Example 50, 24.3 g of 3-pyrrolidine acrylonitrile (79.6%) is obtained.
