A solution of compound 101 (350 mg, 0.63 mmol) in methanol (4.0 mL) was added toluene-4-sulfonic acid (60 mg, 0.32 mmol) and the mixture was stirred for 7 h at RT. The reaction mixture was poured into a mixture of EtOAc/water. The organic phase was washed with NaOH (aq., 2 M), water, brine and then dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the crude product. The crude product was purified by flash chromatography using EtOAc/petroleum ether (40-60) 25:75 as the eluent to afford the title compound as yellow foam.
