Procedure
1.85 g (8.4 mmol) of cis-2-(N′-phenyl-hydrazinocarbonyl)-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid were dissolved in 20 ml of tetrahydrofuran and 0.823 g (2.8 mmol) of triphosgene were added. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 h. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure, and the residue dissolved in acetonitrile/DMF. The product was purified by preparative RP HPLC eluting with a gradient of 0 to 100% acetonitrile in water (+0.01% TFA). After lyophilization, the product was obtained as a white solid. Yield: 980 mg.
