Procedure
The reaction described in Example 10 was carried out using 2-(diphenylmethylsilyl)-ethanol (2.25 g), diethylphosphorochloridate (1.35 g), and pyridine (0.6 g) in carbon tetrachloride (10 ml). Diethyl 2-(diphenylmethylsilyl)ethyl phosphate was obtained as a colourless oil (1.35 g) (C17H23Si O4P requires: C, 60.5%; H, 7.1%; Found: C 63.4%; H, 7.8%).
