5.0 g of ethyl [3,5-bis(2-hydroxyphenyl)-[1,2,4]triazol-1-yl]acetate (Example 2) and 2.9 ml of 4-(2-aminoethyl)morpholine are boiled under reflux for 18 h in 50 ml of tetrahydrofuran. The mixture is cooled, poured onto water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organic phases are dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated on a rotary evaporator. The residue is crystallized from isopropanol. After drying, 2-[3,5-bis(2-hydroxyphenyl)-[1,2,4]triazol-1-yl]-N-(2-morpholin-4-yl-ethyl)acetamide remains as colorless crystals of m.p. 180-182° C.
