Procedure
To 10 ml of dehydrated tetrahydrofuran solution containing 0.89 g (12 mmol) of cyclobutanol was added 0.25 g (6.2 mmol) of sodium hydride (60% dispersed material in mineral oil) under ice-cooling, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. To the mixture was further added 0.70 g (1.2 mmol) of 2-bromo-3-bromomethyl-1,5-bis(2-trimethylsilylethoxymethyl)-1,5-dihydropyrrolo-[2,3-d]pyridazin-4-one obtained in Reference example 25-(a), and the mixture was stirred at 45° C. for 1 hour. After completion of the reaction, water was added to the reaction mixture, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer after separation was washed with a saturated aqueous solution of sodium chloride, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was applied to silica gel column chromatography (Eluent; hexane:ethyl acetate=7:3 (V/V)), and the fractions containing the desired compound were concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain 561 mg of the title compound as a pale yellowish oil. (Yield: 82%)
