A solution of 43C (60 mg, 0.14 mmol) in THF (2 mL):water (1 mL) at 0° C. was treated with a 1 M solution of LiOH (0.17 mmol). The reaction was warmed to room temperature and stirred for 30 minutes. The solution was neutralized with 1 N HCl and extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated to afford 43D (42 mg, 76%).
