To a solution of 7-chloro-2,2-dimethyl-1-(methylsulfonyl)-2,3-dihydroimidazo[1,2-c]pyrimidin-5(1H)-one (180 mg, 0.648 mmol) and (3,4,5-trifluorophenyl)methanol (210 mg, 1.30 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) (3.5 mL) was added K2CO3 (269 mg, 1.94 mmol). The reaction mixture was sealed in a microwave vial and irradiated with a microwave using initial normal to 100° C. for 1 h. Purification via MDAP afforded the title product as a white solid.
