1.30 g (4.27 mmol) of 2,2,2-trifluoro-1-(7-hydroxy-8-nitro-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-benzo[d]azepin-3-yl)-ethanone are dissolved in 20 ml DMF. At room temperature 0.59 g (4.27 mmol) potassium carbonate and 0.26 ml (4.27 mmol) methyliodide are added and the mixture is stirred overnight. Then it is filtered and the filtrate is concentrated by evaporation i.vac., the residue is triturated with water and suction filtered and dried in the circulating air dryer at 45° C.
