The product from step 2 (220 mg, 1.3 mmol) was dissolved in DMF (7 mL) and Cs2CO3 (652 mg, 2.0 mmol) added, followed by 4-chlorobenzyl chloride (214 mg, 1.3 mmol). Allow reaction mixture to stir at ambient temperature over 18 hours. The reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc and washed several times with brine. The organic layer was dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated to afford the title compound as a yellow oil (68%). MS (ES+) m/z 290 (MH+).
