(2R,4S)-1-tert-Butyl 2-methyl 4-(2-(2-methoxyphenyl)quinazolin-4-ylamino)pyrrolidine-1,2-dicarboxylate (0.415 g, 0.851 mmol) and lithium hydroxide monohydrate (0.089 g, 2.128 mmol) were dissolved in water (8 mL) and dioxane (8 mL) and stirred for 1 hour. Water (30 mL) was added and the mixture was acidified to pH 4 with 1M HCl. The aqueous layer was extracted with ethyl acetate (4×30 mL). The combined organic extracts were dried (MgSO4) and concentrated to give the title compound as a solid (0.382 g, 95%).
