Procedure

To a solution of 4-(4-Nitro-phenyl)-piperidin (206 mg, 1 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (3 mL) is added AcCl (0.106 mL, 1.5 mmol) at 0° C. Then Et3N (0.253 mL, 1.8 mmol) is added slowly. The mixture is stirred at 0° C. for 10 minutes. Then saturated NaHCO3 aqueous solution is added. The aqueous layer is extracted with CH2Cl2, and the organic extracts are dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The crude product is purified by column chromatography (SiO2, MeOH:CH2Cl2=0.7:99.3 to 6:93) to give 273 mg of the title compound as yellow solid.
