To a solution of 401 (306 mg, 0.64 mmol) and NH4Cl (30 mg, 0.54 mmol) in 2:1 EtOH/water (10.5 mL) was added iron powder (304 mg, 5.43 mmol) and the suspension was heated to reflux for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was filtered through celite and concentrated to provide title compound 396, that was used without further purification (343 mg, 100% yield). MS (m/z): (M+1) 450.0 (100%).
