To a solution of 3-(pyridin-3-yl)benzoic acid (150 mg, 0.75 mmol) in DCM (6 mL) was added EDCI (215 mg, 1.10 mmol), HOBt (148 mg, 1.10 mmol), Et3N (228 mg, 2.25 mmol) and 1-amino-3-(3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-2(1H)-yl)propan-2-ol (185 mg, 0.90 mmol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 h. The reaction solution was then washed with water and extracted with DCM. The organic layer was concentrated, dried and the residue purified by prep-HPLC to give the desired title product (110 mg, Yield 34%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, MeOD) δ 8.80 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 8.52 (dd, J1=4.8 Hz, J2=3.6 Hz, 1H), 8.10 (s, 1H), 8.09 (dd, J1=8.8 Hz, J2=1.6 Hz, 1H), 7.83 (d, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 7.77 (d, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 7.51-7.46 (m, 2H), 7.06-6.95 (m, 4H), 4.15-4.10 (m, 1H), 3.69 (s, 2H), 3.60-3.47 (m, 2H), 2.85-2.79 (m, 4H), 2.69-2.59 (m, 2H). LCMS (m/z): 388.2 (M+1).
