4 M HCl in EtOAc (0.714 ml) was added to a solution of 1-(2-cyclopropyl-3-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-6-yl)-4-((5-(trifluoromethyl)thiophen-2-yl)methoxy)pyridin-2(1H)-one (1.27 g) in EtOAc (25 ml) at room temperature. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h. The resulting suspension was filtered and the precipitate was washed with EtOAc. The precipitate was crystallized from EtOH-IPE to give the title compound (0.39 g) as a white solid.
