A mixture of 4-bromo-1-(2-cyclopropyl-3-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-6-yl)pyridin-2(1H)-one (80 mg), 4-chlorobenzylamine (49.4 mg), xantphos (10.8 mg), tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(0) (5.3 mg), cesium carbonate (151 mg) and DMA (2 ml) was heated at 120° C. for 30 min under microwave irradiation. The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature, poured into water and extracted with EtOAc-THF. The extract was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, concentrated and purified by NH silica gel column chromatography (hexane/EtOAc then EtOAc/MeOH) to give the title compound (19.1 mg) as a white solid.
