HCl (4 M in EtOAc, 0.146 ml) was added to a solution of 1-(2-cyclopropyl-1-methyl-1H-benzimidazol-6-yl)-4-((5-(trifluoromethyl)-2-thienyl)methoxy)pyridin-2(1H)-one (260 mg) in EtOAc (5 ml), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h. The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with EtOAc. The solid was recrystallized from EtOH-IPE to give the title compound (210 mg) as a white solid.
