To a solution of 2-((E)-2-(4-chlorophenyl)ethenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane (300 mg) and Pd(OAc)2 (127 mg) in Et2O (10 ml) was added trimethylsilyldiazomethane (2.83 ml), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 h. The mixture was purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane/EtOAc) to give the title compound (260 mg) as an oil.
