To a solution of biphenyl indolizinyl tert-butyl ester (0.039 mmol, the title compound of Example 1926) in 0.5 mL of chloroform is added 0.25 mL of TFA, and the progress of the reaction is monitored by 1H NMR. The resulting solution is stirred at room temperature until the reaction is complete. The mixture is quenched with methanol and concentrated in vacuo. The residue is purified to give the title compound of Example 1927.
