To a solution of 3-bromo-1-cyclopentyl-4-methoxy-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid (894 mg), HOBt ammonium salt (1155 mg) and triethylamine (1.41 mL) in acetonitrile (8 mL) was added EDCI hydrochloride (1179 mg), and the mixture was stirred overnight. The reaction mixture was washed with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution and saturated brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (654 mg).
