Procedure

To a solution of (4-(7-bromo-1-(2,6-difluorophenyl)-4-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridin-3-yl)phenyl)acetonitrile (126.2 mg) obtained in Example 104 and potassium carbonate (47.4 mg) in DMSO (2 mL) was added 30% aqueous hydrogen peroxide (131 μL) at room temperature, and the mixture was stirred overnight. The reaction mixture was poured into water, and the precipitated crystals were collected by filtration, and washed with water. The obtained crystals were purified by HPLC (C18, mobile phase: water/acetonitrile (containing 0.1% TFA)) to give the title compound (92 mg).
