To a solution of 4-(1-tert-butyl-4-methoxy-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridin-3-yl)thiophene-2-carboxylic acid (1.50 g) in DMF (200 mL) were added EDCI hydrochloride (4.34 mg) and HOBt ammonium salt (3.44 g) at room temperature, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 hr. To the reaction mixture was added water at 0° C., and the white precipitate was collected by filtration. The obtained white solid was washed with water and saturated aqueous sodium hydrogencarbonate solution, and dried in vacuum to give the title compound (1.46 g).
