To a solution of 4-(1-(1,4-dioxaspiro[4.5]dec-8-yl)-4-methoxy-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridin-3-yl)benzenesulfonamide (280 mg) in a mixed solvent of THF (15 mL) and water (1.5 mL) was added 1N hydrochloric acid (0.420 mL) at 0° C., and the mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. To the reaction mixture was added 1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution at 0° C., and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with saturated aqueous sodium hydrogencarbonate solution and saturated brine, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate) to give the title compound (219 mg).
