A mixture of 2,2,2-trifluoro-N-(3-hydroxy-1-{4-[9-phenyl-3-(2-pyrimidinyl)[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-f]-1,6-naphthyridin-8-yl]phenyl}cyclobutyl)acetamide (4-3) (16 mg, 0.043 mmol), iodomethane (0.0034 mL, 0.055 mmol), and K2CO3 (7.6 mg, 0.055 mmol) in DMF (1 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The mixture was quenched with water, extracted with EtOAc, washed with brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give 2,2,2-trifluoro-N-(3-hydroxy-1-{-4-[9-phenyl-3-(2-pyrimidinyl)[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-f]-1,6-naphthyridin-8-yl]phenyl}cyclobutyl)-N-methylacetamide (4-8).
