To a mixture of 6-hydrazino-3-phenylpyrido[2,3-b]pyrazin-2-ol (3-3) (200 mg, 0.79 mmol) and DIEA (0.55 mL, 3.16 mmol) in NMP (8 mL) was added morpholine-4-carbonyl chloride (354 mg, 2.37 mmol), and stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. To the mixture was added water and Et2O, and the precipitate was collected by filtration to yield N′-(2-oxo-3-phenyl-1,2-dihydropyrido[2,3-b]pyrazin-6-yl)morpholine-4-carbohydrazide (8-1) as a pale yellow solid.
