Procedure
950 ml of a saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution was added to a solution of 11 g of the 2-(2,2-dimethyl-2H-chromen-6-yl)-N-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphth-1-yl acetamide obtained above in 600 ml dichloromethane. A total of 15 g m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid (=MCPBA) in three 5 g portions was added to this receiving solution at 5 min. intervals, and the mixture was stirred for 18 hours at room temperature. The organic phase was separated and substantially entirely evaporated on a rotary evaporator at 65° C. and 20 bar. 2-(2,2-dimethyl-1a,7b-dihydro-2H-oxireno[c]chromen-6-yl)-N-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphth-1-yl acetamide was obtained as crude oil, which was used without further purification for the subsequent reaction.
