N-[2-(Diethylamino)ethyl]-N-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-3-[2-(2-naphthyl)ethoxy]propanamide (Example 32c) (0.5 g) was dissolved in 4M HCl in dioxane (5.8 ml), and stirred for 10 mins. The reaction mixture was poured into saturated sodium bicarbonate solution (100 ml), which was then extracted with DCM (×4). The organic layers were combined, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered and evaporated to give the sub-titled compound (458 mg).
