5-Bromo-2,4-dichloropyrimidine (1.83 g, 8.00 mmol), N-methyl-3-(propan-2-ylamino)propanamide (Intermediate 14, 1.16 g, 8.00 mmol) and Et3N (1.2 mL, 8.16 mmol) were combined in MeCN (50 mL) and shaken at ambient temperature for 3 days before the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. Purification by column chromatography (SiO2, eluent gradient 2-10% MeOH to DCM) to afford the title compound (2.08 g, 78%) as a gum.
