Procedure

A solution of 1-(2-bromoethyl)pyrazole [6d] (12 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran was added dropwise to a solution of ethylenediamine (0.24 mol) in water. The mixture was refluxed for 4 hours. The THF was removed under vacuum and the water phase was washed with dichloromethane. After drying under vacuum resulted a yellow oil which was formulated as pz(CH2)2NH(CH2)2NH2 (1). Yield: 50%
