In a manner similar to Example 1, a reaction was conducted using 2-(5-amino-1,2,4-thiadiazol-3-yl)-2-(Z)-methoxyiminoacetic acid whose average particle size was 2.4 μ. Subsequent to dropwise addition of a chlorinating reagent which had been prepared from phosphorus oxychloride and N,N-dimethylformamide, they were reacted for 1 minute. The reaction product was post-treated, and its purity was analyzed by HPLC by the method described above.
