Procedure
10 g of the hydrochloride of 1-formyl-4-[hydrazino(methylimino)methyl]piperazine are dissolved in 250 ml of methanol. 50 ml of HClconc. are added, the mixture obtained is stirred overnight and the solvent is evaporated. A solid residue is obtained which is dried over solid KOH. The trihydrochloride of 1-[hydrazino-(methylimino)methyl]piperazine is obtained in form of a white product.
