Procedure

To a suspension of [2-(3-Isopropyl-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyridin-6-ylsulfanyl)-phenyl]-methanol (254.0 mg, 0.85 mmol) and DPPA (220 μL, 1.02 mmol) in toluene (8.5 mL, 0.10 M) at 0° C. was added DBU (152.0 μL, 1.02 mmol), followed by the addition of THF (1 mL). The reaction was allowed to warm to ambient temperature and stirred for 18 hours. The reaction mixture was quenched with NaHCO3, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The extracts were washed with brine, dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by flash chromatography (eluting with 2% methanol/ethyl acetate) to give the title compound as an oil (228 mg, 83%). MS (M+1)=370.5.
