Procedure
In 100 ml of N,N-diethylaniline, 8.0 g of 1-(3-allyloxy-4-chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-4-trifluoromethyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyrimidine-2,6-dione was dissolved, and the solution was stirred at 180° C. for 3 hours. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and poured into diluted hydrochloric acid. The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with water, dried and concentrated. The residue was purified by silica gel chromatography, which afforded 6.3 g of the desired compound.
