Procedure

A solution of tert-butyl [2-({[1-(5-{4-[(1,2-benzisoxazol-3-ylamino)carbonyl]piperazin-1-yl}-1,2,4-thiadiazol-3-yl)piperidin-4-yl]carbonyl}amino)ethyl]carbamate (70.0 mg, 0.117 mmol) and a solution of 2 N hydrogen chloride in methanol (10 ml) in tetrahydrofuran (10 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 12 hours. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure, and the residue was recrystallized from a mixed solvent of methanol and diethyl ether to give 61.0 mg (91.0%) of the desired product as a solid.
