(1-{1-(cyclopropylmethyl)-4-[(cyclopropylmethyl)thio]cyclohexyl}ethyl)amine (0.1 g; 0.3745 mmol), 2,4-dichlorobenzoyl chloride (0.1174 g; 0.56175 mmol) and triethylamine (0.0567 g; 0.56175 mmol) were dissolved in dichloromethane and stirred for one hour at room temperature. The reaction was evaporated and partitioned between ethyl acetate and saturated bicarbonate solution. The organic layer was dried and evaporated and the residue was purified by silica chromatography using ethyl acetate hexanes to yield 2,4-dichloro-N-(1-{1-(cyclopropylmethyl)-4-[(cyclopropylmethyl)thio]cyclohexyl}ethyl)benzamide. (130 mg, 79%)
