Procedure
(tert-Butoxy)-N-{2-[1-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-6-methyl-(1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-beta-carbolin-2-yl)]-2-oxoethyl}carboxamide 11 was treated with HCl in dioxane (4 N, 10 equiv) for 30 min, and the solvent was removed to give 3-(2-glycyl-6-methyl-2,3,4,9-tetrahydro-1H-beta-carbolin-1-yl)phenol 14 as its HCl salt.
Workup
- customthe solvent was removed
