A solution of 205 mg (0.64 mmol) of 2-chloro-4-(5-iodothiophen-2-yl)pyrimidine, 186 mg (1.1 mmol) of 1-(2-aminoethyl)-5,5-dimethylimidazolidine-2,4-dione and 0.15 mL (1.1 mmol) of triethylamine in 5 mL of iPrOH was heated in a microwave to 180° C. for 10 min then concentrated in vacuo. The crude solid product was purified by flash chromatography eluting with a linear gradient of 40% EtOAc in hexane to 100% EtOAc to deliver the title compound. MS (M+H)+ 458.
