A mixture of 6-fluoro-1-(phenylsulfonyl)-3-(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-1H-indole (Intermediate 5; 225 mg; 0.66 mmol), 3-bromopropanamide (302 mg; 1.99 mmol), KI (20 mg; 0.12 mmol) and K2CO3 (274 mg; 1.98 mmol) in CH3CN (20 mL) and DMF (10 mL) was stirred at 100° C. overnight. The reaction mixture was cooled to r.t., filtered, and concentrated to afford 272 mg (100%) of the title compound as a white solid, which was used directly without further purification.
