Procedure

To a solution of dibenzyl-{8-bromo-9-methyl-2-[2-(2,5,5-trimethyl-[1,3]dioxan-2-yl)-ethyl]-9H-purin-6-yl}amine (1.9 g, 3.50 mmol) in anhydrous DMF (20 ml) were added K2CO3 (0.72 g, 5.2 mmol) followed by 1H-1,2,3-triazole (362 mg, 5.2 mmol). The mixture was stirred overnight at 100° C. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to give a residue that was purified by flash chromatography (DCM/MeOH: 93/7).
