A solution of 304 (0.400 g, 2.14 mmol), TBDMS-Cl (0.386 g, 2.56 mmol), DIPEA (0.744 mL, 4.27 mmol), DMAP (0.0261 g, 0.214 mmol) and DCM (10 mL) was stirred at RT for 1 h and then poured into water and extracted with DCM. The combined organic extracts were dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. The crude product was purified by SiO2 chromatography eluting with DCM/MeOH (500:7) to afford 0.45 g (69.9%) of 3-(tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy)-1-(3,4-difluorophenyl)propan-1-amine (306).
