A solution of ethyl 3-(difluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid (190 mg, 1.0 mmol), 2-chloro-5-fluoro-pyrimidine (132 mg, 1.0 mmol) and K2CO3 (276 mg, 2.0 mmol) in NMP (2.0 mL) is heated in a microwave reactor at 150° C. for 1 h. The mixture is poured into H2O, extracted with EtOAc (3×25 mL) and dried over anhydrous MgSO4. The crude product is purified by silica gel column chromatography using 15-25% EtOAc/hexane to afford the title compound as a white solid.
