To a solution of 3-cyclopropyl-6-hydroxy-7-propylbenz-[4,5]-isoxazole (34 mg, 0.156 mmole) and methyl 3-chloro-4-(3-bromopropylamino)phenylacetate (Example 21, Step C, 50 mg, 0.156 mmole) in DMF (0.70 mL) was added cesium carbonate (54 mg , 0.164 mmole), and the mixture stirred at 80° C. in a nitrogen atmosphere for 2 hours. The cooled mixture was dissolved in ethyl acetate and washed with water, brine, dried over magnesium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo to give an oil. Thin layer chromatography on silica gel eluting with hexane:ethyl acetate (2:1) afforded the title compound (44 mg).
