Procedure
Substantially the same procedures as in Example 4 were repeated except that 1.8 g of 3-hydroxypyrrolidine was used in place of 2.1 g of 4-hydroxypiperidine to obtain 1-(1-chloro-5-isoquinolinesulfonyl)-3-hydroxypirrolidine. Then, in substantially the same manner as in Example 10, 2.5 g of the thus obtained 1-(1-chloro-5-isoquinolinesulfonyl)-3-hydroxypirrolidine was reacted in dichloromethane with 1.08 g of oxalyl chloride, 0.67 g of dimethylsulfoxide and 0.60 g of triethylamine to obtain 1-(1-chloro-5-isoquinolinesulfonyl)-3-pyrrolidone.
