1.54 g (7.44 mmol) of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide and 0.91 g of 4-dimethylaminopyridine are added to a solution of 1.73 g (7.44 mmol) of (+)-1-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-2-naphthyl)ethyl alcohol and 1.54 g (7.44 mmol) of allyl monoterephthalate in 50 ml of THF. The reaction medium is left stirring at room temperature for 3 h. After treatment and chromatography on silica in dichloromethane, 2.42 g (77%) of the expected derivative are isolated in the form of a colorless oil (Rf=0.46; dichloromethane/hexane, 50:50).
