Procedure
A solution of Example 42I (207 mg, 0.5 mmol) and Pd(OAc)2 (5 mg) in THF (100 mL), at 0° C. was treated with a 0° C. 2M solution of diazomethane in diethyl ether (20 mL), warmed to room temperature over 10 minutes, treated with Pd(OAc)2 (5 mg) and 2M diazomethane in diethyl ether (20 mL), and treated two more times with Pd(OAc)2 and 2M diazomethane after 10 minute stirring intervals. After the final addition, the mixture was stirred for 1 hour, filtered through diatomaceous earth (Celite®) and concentrated. The concentrate was purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel with 10% ethyl acetate/hexanes to provide the desired product.
