A mixture of 1-(4-iodophenyl)pyridine-2(1H)-thione prepared above (65 mg, 0.21 mmol), 5-chloro-N-((1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)thiophene-2-carboxamide 3-1 prepared in Example 11 (65 mg, 0.18 mmol), 8-hydroxyquinoline (10 mg, 0.069 mmol) and K2CO3 (75 mg, 0.54 mmol) in DMSO (2 mL) was degassed with Ar before being charged with CuI (27 mg, 0.14 mmol). The mixture in a sealed tube was heated at 130° C. overnight. It was then purified by HPLC to give the title compound (15 mg). MS 427.0 and 429.0 (M+H, Cl pattern).
