To a solution of 2-{4-[6-(7-cyclopentyl-6-dimethylcarbamoyl-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2-ylamino)-pyridin-3-yl]-piperazin-1-yl}-propionic acid methyl ester (250 mg, 0.48 mmol) in 10 mL of THF is added a solution of LiOH (19 mg, 48 mmol) in 10 mL of H2O. After 18 h stirring at room temperature, the resulting mixture is concentrated and diluted with H2O and adjusted to pH=6 with 1 N HCl. Ished with dichloromethane then solids precipitated and collected to give 2-{4-[6-(7-cyclopentyl-6-dimethylcarbamoyl-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2-ylamino)-pyridin-3-yl]-piperazin-1-yl}-propionic acid (225 mg, 94%). MS (ESI) m/z 507.3 (M+H)+
