Procedure

To a solution of 7.0 g of XXVI in 50 ml of DMSO was added 8 ml of 5N HCl and 2.7 g of NaNO2 dissolved in 5 ml of water. The reaction mixture was stirred 10 minutes at 50° C. and then 100 ml of water was added. The red crystals were filtered off. Yield 6 g (XXVII).
