A mixture of 7-bromo-2,2-dimethyl-6-(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-2,3-dihydrothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4(1H)-one (243 mg, 0.743 mmol), 1 M HCl (2.60 mL, 2.60 mmol) and MeOH (7 mL) was stirred at 50° C. for 2 h. The mixture was poured into saturated aqueous NaHCO3 and extracted with 3:1 EtOAc/THF, and the extract was dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound (147 mg, 69%) as a pale yellow solid.
