A mixture of 2,2-dimethyl-6-(5-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-2,3-dihydrothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4(1H)-one (660 mg, 2.52 mmol), 1 M HCl (8.81 mL) and MeOH (27 mL) was stirred at 50° C. for 2 h. Then, the reaction mixture was poured into excess saturated aqueous NaHCO3 and extracted with EtOAc/THF, and the extract was dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound (531 mg, 95%) as a yellow solid.
